Job Duties:
Daily tasks will include vine pruning, shoot, leaf, and cluster thinning, pulling weeds, moving trellis wires, applying crop thinning, and harvesting fruit. Further tasks may include planting vines, tying vines to trellis wires, installing or repairing trellis parts, shoveling, hoeing, and other general farm labor tasks. The job does not need to be done with the dominant hand. Weight limitations may be applied according to provided recommendations. All tasks will be performed under supervision in vineyard operations. Must possess the requisite skills and knowledge of what, when, where, and how much to prune on a grapevine. Identify and remove the proper canes and vines while retaining the fruiting wood and renewal spurs. Must demonstrate and consistently utilize pruning practices that assure vine balance and preserve vine health. Manage vineyard canopy to permit light and air circulation. May perform general farm maintenance tasks when vineyard work is not available (all such activities will be performed incident to or in conjunction with vineyard operation). Bending, stooping, and kneeling are required. Use hand tools, including but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws. Lift, carry, and load/unload product or supplies. Workers must be able to perform manual tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs.

2. Worker must possess 2 months of row crop experience. 4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60 lbs. 4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc. 4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, pruning, etc. 4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. 4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding, etc.
