Job Duties:

Perform manual agricultural labor related to the handling, preparation, processing, and storage of hay crops. Duties include removing and disposing of twine, wire, and netting from large square and round hay bales; manually separating, sorting, and inspecting hay for moisture content, mold, weeds, and foreign material to maintain quality standards; and loading loose hay by hand onto conveyors, hoppers, and feeding systems used in hay compression and rebaling operations. Additional duties include cleaning work areas, barns, processing equipment, and storage facilities by removing dust, loose hay, straw, and debris using brooms, shovels, and air blowers to maintain safe and sanitary agricultural working conditions. Workers will perform basic maintenance and care of hand tools and equipment used in daily hay handling operations.
