Job Duties:

We are a blueberry farm and wholesale nursery. We allow blueberry U-Pick with approximately 5,000 blueberry bushes. We also grow and produce woody ornamental plants (greenhouses and open area) - mostly 3 gal pots that we wholesale to retail nurseries. Micro irrigation is used on all plants (drip tube and mister stakes).  Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; hand pick and manually grade crops; harvest fruits and vegetables by hand; set up and operate irrigation equipment; regulate greenhouse conditions, and indoor and outdoor irrigation systems; haul and spread materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil; load and unload materials and commodities; maintain grounds and landscaping; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, and knives; harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them; move containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, by hand or mechanical equipment; inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress; plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: mowers and other landscaping equipment, sprayers, use gas powered golf carts and trailers.  The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: fruit, nursery plants. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
