Job Duties:
FARM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR: Worker complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: prepare. safety check, maintain and operate farm machinery such as forklifts, tractors with attachments, mowers, dammer dikers, windrowers, large ag drone sprayers, potato harvesters, dump trucks, skid steers, remote controlled bin pilers, forage box, drill, broadcast spreader, disk and trucks to complete soil preparation, field work, cultivation, fertilizer sidedressing, spraying, harvesting to meet or exceed quality criteria, hauling crops to storage, unloading potatoes into dirt eliminator, hauling dirt and rock, grading potatoes on washline and seeding cover crops. If authorized, worker may be required to operate semi-trucks and trailers related to crop harvest. Operate or assist with trailers/tankers loading. Maintenance duties including hand picking rocks, mowing grass, picking up garbage, and cleaning farm machinery and buildings. Keep accurate and legible records of equipment maintenance activities, crop seeding, fertilizing, spraying and harvesting activities. Other duties assigned under this order will be consistent under Bureau of Labor Statistics Standard Occupational Classification: Agricultural Equipment Operators (45–2091)

Special Requirements:
Training Requirement: Obtain and maintain a valid FAA Remote Pilot Certificate by passing the FAA Part 107 exam and completing the TSA background check. Obtain and maintain a Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License for the aerial application of pesticides to vegetables. Experience Requirement: 1 year verifiable experience in commercial agriculture equipment with valid drivers license with an F endorsement or equivalent required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 5 years establishing acceptable prior experience. Job requires worker to complete tasks in agriculture equipment operation and general farm labor of potatoes and sweet corn. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Drug testing done at employer's expense and not utilized as preemployment tool.
