Job Duties:
This is a skill level II position that requires a minimum of (3) months of general farm labor. A valid drivers license is preferred but not required. The lifting requirement for this position is 60 pounds. General Farm Work will include the following duties: Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of corn, hay, and triticale. The majority of the work activities during the overall contract period, however, will be related to general farm work/irrigation/crop production/hauling crops on or between worksites. General Farm Work will include the following responsibilities: maintain, drive, attach, and operate farm implements/tractors/equipment to till soil, plant, cultivate, fertilize, and harvest crops; make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery; clean equipment, implements, tools, vehicles; etc.; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); remove undesirable and excess growth from crops or farm grounds; remove rocks from field; paint/repair/maintain farm structures; replace/maintain/repair fencing; perform general cleanup of farm areas; drive, load/unload farm trucks and ag exempt, non- CDL, non-commerical 10-wheel trucks on, or between, farm worksites; husk/shell/de-tassel corn; operate weed eater; mow and/or burn weeds; operate equipment to pack silage, triticale, alfalfa (haylage); cover/uncover feedstock or compost pits with plastic and tires; haul and spread manure/compost/crops; move feedstock/compost; maintain farm roadways; operate vehicle, motor bike, or all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers.

Special Requirements:
The employer may pay a higher hourly rate based on tenured performance, the Employer may, at its discretion, pay higher hourly rates for workers performing specialized duties or pay discretionary bonuses. These higher rates will be based on individual factors including demonstrated skill/knowledge after hire, demonstrated experience after hire, certifications, and performance, and will be offered to all qualified H-2A and corresponding U.S. workers on the same terms. Such payments do not change the primary job classification or required experience level.
