- Job Duties:
- Operate stationary equipment such as feeder, dryer, cleaner, gin stand, lint cleaner, press; to perform post-harvest tasks such as ginning; cleaning and separating cotton lint from seed and waste material; record weights and other identifying information including weight of bale and seed; manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; observe, listen, and monitor machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; load cotton onto truck with trailer and drive to and from field and storage; drive pickup to obtain parts and supplies; maintain inventory; attach equipment using hand tools; weigh and record weights; operate forklift, loader, tractor and other farm equipment; upkeep, repair, maintain and clean equipment and worksite while ginning; record information about crops; during times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase; work at night may be requested; employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.

- Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Lift up to 10 lbs.
