Seasonal Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure that seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include: o Performing work activities safely. o Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time. o Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time. o Operating bagging equipment according to instructions. o Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance. o Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages. o Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity. o Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse. o Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags. o Maintaining a neat, clean, & organized work area.
