- Job Duties:
- Prepare grounds for planting. Plant and maintain crops including spraying, and weeding.Crops include: strawberries, squash, peppers, and cucumbers. check crops for disease and insect problems. Check fields for harvest readiness (ripe strawberries and vegetable maturity. Know how to identify immature fruits and leave them to ripen. Identify and remove/isolate damaged and diseased fruits. harvest fruit carefully and place in clam shells without bruising fill flats and cover when full. Move flats to designated receiving check stations.Clean work areas and maintain grounds.
