Job Duties:

We need assistance driving semi trucks to haul seed, sileage, grain and feed for our own farm. Workers will need experience operating semi-trucks and pulling a variety of trailers. Job duties will include but not be limited to: Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, performing minor repairs, or washing trucks. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 13 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials. Drive trucks to haul crops to and from storage and market facilities; Load inputs such as feed and seed without under or over-filling trailers and deliver to the farm or storage areas. Tarp and un-tarp trailers to secure loads. Daily maintenance of Trucks and trailers including but not limited to checking filters, blowing out radiators, checking oil levels, greasing zerks, and other tasks as directed by employer.

Special Requirements:

Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
