Job Duties:

Equipment Mechanic The Farm Equipment Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing farm machinery and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient operation for upcoming crop season. Responsibilities include: Inspecting, servicing, and repairing tractors, combines, seeders, sprayers, and other farm equipment. Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems. Disassembling, repairing, and reassembling engines, machinery, and equipment components. Performing preventative maintenance, including lubrication, fluid changes, and replacement of worn parts. Using hand tools, power tools, grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment. Conducting pre-season and post-harvest inspections and maintenance. Maintaining repair records and monitoring parts inventory. Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with agricultural equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems. Good communication skills and ability to work independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Increased wages and bonus possible depending on experience.

Special Requirements:

Employer provided items (at no cost to the worker): All tools and equipment necessary to perform the duties assigned as well as transportation between worker(s) on-site housing and the work site. A cell phone or two-way radio will be provided for emergency and ranch communications at no cost to the worker (excluding long distance charges). The expected work schedule may be required in a split shift due to the nature of the job duties. Hours may vary due to weather, time of year and the requirements of the job. Work may be offered more than the specified hours per day, but only required to work the hours specified. Work may be offered 7 days a week but only required 6 days a week.
