Job Duties:
SOC 53-3053, Shuttle Drivers, Level II Florida Growers Association is a nonprofit association that provides custom harvesting services to its grower-members by harvesting crops and transporting those crops off the farm to storage or market. Workers will be assigned one or more of the following duties based on operational needs, worker qualifications, and management discretion. Not all workers will perform all duties. Shuttle Bus Driver: Inspect the vehicle and all required safety equipment before operating the bus. Pick up workers from their hotel or living quarters and transport them to the worksite. Report all accidents, injuries, or safety incidents. Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle and transport workers between worksites as needed. Provide documents and licenses to federal agencies upon request. At the end of the workday, transport workers back to their hotel or living quarters. Assist with timekeeping duties. While operating a company vehicle during the period of employment, the driver must possess and maintain a valid driver's license issued by the United States or a foreign equivalent that authorizes the operation of the company vehicle, in accordance with all applicable license restrictions and vehicle classifications. Workers are responsible for ALL damages done to Equipment/Trucks provided. Any damages that are not caused by normal wear and tear will be deducted from your pay. Continuous violations of the Equipment/Trucks may result in your termination of employment as well as your right to live at the housing provided by the company. The worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records. Daily work assignments, locations, and schedules will be directed by farm management based on operational needs. Workers must perform assigned duties at designated company locations and may be reassigned among farms, worksites, and job tasks during the workday or throughout the season. Not all workers will perform all duties as described in this job order.
