Job Duties:

We are a cotton gin that receives cotton modules for ginning and then loads them onto the walking floor and processes through to the end result of cotton bales, including removing plastic round bale bags at the beginning, pulling cotton samples after strapping, set up bags on a bagger table for the bales, and then running squeeze-loader on forklift to load the bales in a truck. Also, transport plastic bales and motes to holding area. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: clean work areas; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; load and unload materials and commodities; operate equipment for a cotton gin; position boxes/bags at ends of machinery to catch products, remove and close full containers; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; weigh containers and record weights and identifying information; work in extreme temperatures; extremely loud and dusty (earplugs and face masks are provided). Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: cotton gin equipment, cotton module trucks, gin stand, forklift, packaging equipment, skid steers. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cotton, cottonseed, motes, plastic bales.

Special Requirements:

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
