Job Duties:

Seasonal agricultural workers are needed to assist with cattle (cow/calf) and hay crop production. Workers will perform a variety of duties related to crop and livestock operations, including preparing fields for planting; attaching and operating farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, planters, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other agricultural machinery; and engaging in planting, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting activities. Duties also include loading and unloading crops or materials manually or with the use of conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand tools; loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines; guiding products on conveyors to regulate flow and removing damaged or inferior products; and monitoring and adjusting machine controls to ensure proper operation. Workers will observe equipment during operation to detect malfunctions and assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment and irrigation systems. Additional duties include driving farm semi-trucks to transport crops, supplies, and tools, and performing general farm tasks as assigned in support of hay and livestock production. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements:

Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony or theft-related criminal background, consistent with workplace safety policy and company hiring practices as allowed by law. Job requires three months of prior farm experience, extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular drivers license.
