Job Duties:

The worker in this position will perform post-harvest handling and loadout activities for harvested broccoli in an open-sided barn. Worker will operate a forklift, either rough-terrain or standard warehouse type suited to the barn floor, to move pallets and bins of harvested broccoli to and from the icing station. Worker will position bins under the ice-delivery system and monitor the even distribution of ice over the harvested product, then stage iced broccoli for loadout. Worker will maintain clear and safe traffic lanes within the barn and coordinate the movement and staging of harvested product for shipment. The forklift is the only equipment operated by workers in this position; no field production equipment is operated as part of these duties.

Special Requirements:

Three (3) months of forklift operating experience required in addition to a current forklift operator certification. Post-employment drug test is paid for by employer when applicable for safety purposes. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs occassionally.
