Job Duties:
The seasonal agricultural worker will perform duties related to the production of corn, wheat, oats, rye, millet, and cattle/cow-calf operations. Duties will include feeding and watering livestock; monitoring feed and water supplies; mixing feed, additives, and medications in prescribed portions; and loading, hauling, distributing, and storing feed using trucks, tractors, and other agricultural equipment. Workers will observe livestock for signs of illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain and will administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the employer or arrange for veterinary care when necessary. Workers will assist with cattle breeding and calving activities, including monitoring cows during the calving period and providing care to newborn calves. Duties will also include routine livestock care, including grooming and other animal care as needed; herding and moving cattle to pastures, scales, trucks, corrals, or other enclosures; moving cattle between grazing areas to provide access to feed and water; and monitoring cattle on grazing land. Workers will identify and sort livestock according to ownership, grade, or condition using brands, tags, paint, or other identification methods. Workers will also move livestock, agricultural equipment, feed, and other farm materials between locations manually or using farm vehicles and equipment. Additional duties will include inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, and performing routine repairs to agricultural equipment, machinery, livestock pens, corrals, yards, fences, and farm buildings. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements:
Requires three (3) months of previous verifiable experience performing the duties described in this job order. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive sitting and walking, frequent stooping and bending, repetitive movements, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a valid regular driver's license.
