Job Duties:

We need a seasonal employee to assist with our livestock operation.Worker will perform duties related to the care and management of livestock, including feeding and watering animals; monitoring food and water supplies; and mixing and administering feed, additives, and medications in prescribed portions. Employees will examine animals to detect illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain and may provide basic medical treatment, administer vaccinations or medications, or coordinate veterinary care as needed. Duties include assisting with animal reproduction, such as breeding, artificial insemination, and assisting with births; grooming, clipping, trimming, shearing, castrating, docking, and otherwise caring for livestock; and applying disinfectants or insecticides through spraying, dipping, or bathing. Worker will herd livestock to pastures, scales, trucks, or enclosures; rotate animals between grazing areas; and patrol grazing lands using horseback or ATV. Additional responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting stalls, pens, and equipment; inspecting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, pens, yards, fences, and buildings; and maintaining records related to growth, feeding, production, costs, and inventory. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion.

Job requires possession of a valid drivers license. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Require 3 months experience.
