Job Duties:

Daily feeding and watering of ewes, lambs, and rams. Daily bottle feeding for abandoned lambs. Construct, clean and maintain lambing pens & mineral tubs, as well as secondary drinkers. Break ice in water troughs. Assist ewes that encounter difficulties while lambing. Ensure lambs are received by mothers during the 1st 48 hours, and inspect 3-4 times daily for 21 days. Record birth weights, tag and band as needed. Administer medicines and vaccinations to ewes and lambs as necessary. Move sheep between pens and fields with pickup and stock trailer or atv for rotational grazing. Repair and build both electrified, and non-electrified fences as necessary to contain sheep. Must speak and understand English.

Special Requirements:

Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
