Job Duties:

Skill Level 1 The workers employed by Hanson Farm LLC will perform agricultural and farm-related activities necessary to prepare the farm property, infrastructure, and facilities for agricultural production. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Land Clearing and Site Preparation • Clear land and remove unwanted vegetation, brush, and debris. • Assist with timber removal and site preparation. • Prepare areas of the property for agricultural use. • Operate and assist with the operation of farm machinery, equipment, and vehicles used in land preparation activities. Field Tiling and Drainage Improvements • Install, repair, and maintain field drainage systems and tile. • Assist with drainage improvements throughout the farm. • Prepare drainage areas and related infrastructure. • Operate equipment used for drainage and tiling activities. Drainage Ditches, Grading, Sloping, and Terracing • Prepare and maintain drainage ditches. • Perform field grading, sloping, and terracing activities. • Move and distribute soil and other materials as necessary. • Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment used for grading and earthwork. Irrigation Well and Infrastructure Work • Assist with irrigation well installation, setup, maintenance, and repair. • Install, repair, and maintain irrigation infrastructure. • Assist with the setup and operation of irrigation equipment. • Perform general maintenance and repair of irrigation-related systems. Shop Facility Repair and Maintenance • Perform general maintenance and repair of farm shop facilities. • Repair and maintain buildings, structures, doors, equipment areas, and related facilities. • Utilize basic hand tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks as needed. • Clean, organize, and prepare shop and work areas. • Assist with repairs and improvements to existing farm structures and facilities.

Special Requirements:

Physically able to bend, stoop, and able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Physically able to meet and perform all job specifications. May be required to take random drug and / or alcohol tests, at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. All testing and background check will occur after employment has started and is not a part of the interview process. May be required to submit a criminal background check, at no cost to the worker. Felony convictions that employer reasonably believes, consistent with current law, will impair the safety and living conditions of other workers or other individuals on the farm will result in immediate termination. Failure to comply with request for criminal background check may result in immediate termination of employment.
