Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Move livestock to winter pens. Assist in livestock management during the winter months when they require additional care due to subfreezing and fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Monitor livestock health. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Feed cattle during snowy/subfreezing periods when no seasonal pasturelands remain available for them to naturally graze upon. Add dry bedding. Break ice formation in water tanks daily. Ensure livestock have proper wind cover. Remove snow from farm property. Remove manure and apply to fields as fertilizer. Maintain, clean, and repair winter pens.
