- Job Duties:
- Build, repair and maintain cattle fences, and winter livestock areas. Operate feed wagons, feed trucks, tractors and other farm equipment to distribute feed and care for cattle during winter. Check cattle, water supplies and herd health; monitor cows and calves during calving and assist with birthing as required. Herd, move, catch, weigh and load cattle using 4-wheelers and other livestock-handling equipment; assist with processing and branding cows and calves. Maintain and repair farm vehicles, machinery and cattle-handling equipment, including general workshop and winter maintenance tasks. Perform other general duties related to the care, handling and management of cattle and the farm operation.
