Job Duties:
Our peakload Ground Person position is temporary and fulltime and pays every week. Work is Monday thru Friday for 40 hours from 8a to 4p at $14.05 per hour or higher with overtime offered regularly during peakload at $21.08 or higher depending on wage at time. Peakload work dates are 4/1/2018 to 12/01/2018. Ground Person duties include raking, weeding, mulching, digging, and ground-level pruning. Ground persons also collect fallen leaves and branches, and then load and unload crew trucks. In performing these job duties, Ground Persons are assisting our arborists and technicians in the care of trees, shrubs, hedges, planters, courtyards, sidewalks, driveways, fountains, or other grounds features found at parks, schools, municipal and commercial properties, corporate campuses, and tree nurseries. Ground Persons perform physical activities that require the ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach. Attendance at a Safety Briefing is required at the beginning of each work day. Ground Persons are exposed daily to outdoor weather conditions. Ground Persons do not supervise any staff. Ground Persons are supervised by skilled managers and arborists.
