Job Duties:

Assemble, build, and/or erect structures from a variety of metal and non-metal pipe and pipe fittings, handling various tools & equipment during the construction of a low-carbon combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility. Organize, assemble, install, and create all types of pressure piping that must withstand high-pressure and low-pressure temperatures in order to perform in systems with pressured water, values, oil, gas and steam. Work during the entire process from planning to installation, including welding, instrumentation, fitting, cutting, bending of pipe, valves, equipment and all types of ferrous materials. Cuts, drills, shapes, and threads non-coated metals and mounts materials using powered and non-powered tools and equipment. Read and comprehend blueprints, specifications and piping isometric drawings. The Employer will provide on-the-job competency verification for training provided by the union. Employer will require 48 hours of work per week when hours are available. Shifts available: 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. on Friday; or 2nd Shift: 6:00 p.m. 4:30 a.m. Monday - Thursday, and 4:00 p.m. 12:30 a.m. on Friday. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the work site.
