Job Duties:

Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about Desjardins services to ensure a smooth transition for their financial activities between Canadian network and Desjardins Bank operations; particularities of the products and services offered; and differences between the Canadian operations of Desjardins and services offered by the US subsidiary. Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, and actions taken. Advises Canadian customers on how to fulfil their banking needs in the most efficient and economical way. Assist in opening new accounts, certificate of deposits, and handling all customer inquiries. Confirms account relationship with Canadian Parent, verifying information given. Offers all automated products including Online Banking, E-Statement, and Bill Pay. Verifies the OFAC status and completes the Customer Information Profile of customers. Prepares required deposit documents, such as signature cards, disclosures and other documents for review and approval. Processes the necessary entries in FISERV. Ensures all account openings comply the bank policies and regulations. May also require some relief/backup activities to assist in periods of heavy customer volume or during teller absences. Hourly work schedule: Minimum of 35 hours per week (meaning no less than 35 hours). Must be able to work all shifts: Monday-Wednesday 9am to 4pm; and Thursday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Overtime as Needed.

Must speak and write in French fluently; pass pre-employment Criminal Background Check and pre and post-employment Drug Test (Note: Test is paid by employer. Post-employment drug tests are limited to post-accident and reasonable suspicion situations. We do not perform random drug testing); pass OFAC clearance; and must have High School Diploma. French Requirement: Desjardins Bank is governed by federal US and Florida state laws, so its products and services are adapted to local regulations. All Desjardins Bank documentation is in English but account holders have access to services in French. Canadians have a long, storied love affair with Florida. Desjardins is the first Quebec-based financial institution to have established itself in Florida to provide financial services to serve and cater to the French-Canadian customers and population that vacations in the South Florida area during the harsh Canadian winter months. Desjardins Bank was formed specifically to target those individuals and offer assistance in enhancing their banking experience as well as promoting the growth of the company. As part of our services, we assist these French-speaking Canadians by helping them overcome the language barrier. We utilize our bilingual French and English-speaking customer service representatives to not only obtain information and assist with their inquiries, but to also explain conditions and instructions pertaining to their issues in the French language. Desjardins Banks website, promotional material and other printed materials are all offered in French. French is the first and native language to a majority of our customers. A vast majority of them are more comfortable conducting business in French. All applicants, therefore, must speak and write in French fluently, as it is a necessity in order to communicate with the majority of our customers.
