- Job Duties:
- ATTENDS TO THE OVERALL CARE OF THOROUGHBRED RACEHORSES INCLUDING FEEDING, WATERING, MAINTENANCE OF STALLS AND TACK, CLEANING, BRUSHING, TRIMMING OF HORSES, DISINFECTING STALLS AND BEDDING. WILL LIFT LEGS AND CLEAN HORSES FEET AND APPLY LINIMENTS AND BANDAGES TO LEGS AS REQUIRED. WILL CARE FOR 1-5 HORSES AT A TIME INCLUDING HOT WALKING AND TACKING UP. SPLIT SHIFTS 5-11 AM AND 3-5 PM. DAYS OFF ROTATES. WORKERS WILL WORK 40 HRS A WEEK UNLESS THEY DECIDE TO WORK OVERTIME.
