Job Duties:

Transport materials such as alfalfa and hay bales, cotton rolls, and other materials from fields over land to warehouses and processing plants or distribution centers, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and ensure that cargo is properly secured in the flat bed to prevent damage, injury, or loss. Weigh truck before and after delivery and keep accurate records of heavy weights and light weights. Untie and unload cargo upon arrival at the warehouse or processing plant. Driver is responsible for basic vehicle maintenance, in the pre and post trip. Driver must comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Follow the route as directed by dispatcher, maintain contact with dispatcher, and meet delivery schedules. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy. Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries. Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the mainfest document.

Special Requirements:

A valid Commercial Drivers License with double trailer endorsement is required. The commercial driver's license should be of an appropriate class and have an appropriate endorsement, if required, that will allow the driver to pull a double trailer and a vehicle exceeding 26,000 lbs. For example, a Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the State of Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles or a Class A Commercial Driver's License issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles, with a double trailer endorsement would be required and accepted. --Similar international commercial driver's licenses with a similar endorsement to pull a double trailer will also be accepted, such as a Licencia Federal de Conductor Categora "E" en Modalidad Internacional from Mexico, or a doble articulado internacional, or any equivalent valid commercial driver's license with double trailer endorsement from the country of origin.
