- Job Duties:
- Shucks oyster using an oyster knife in a standard, routine procedure preparatory to packing: wash, grade, can, freeze & place oysters into containers. Place oysters in shell stock area and remove oysters from area; assist with plant clean-up at end of day. May operate shell stock washer & scales, as needed. Workers will occasionally cut a minimal amount of edible fish for wholesale customers (5% or less). Pack edible fish in 50 pound cartons and stack on pallets for shipment. Employer provides 2 weeks on the job training. Work is supervised. 536 Mill Point Road, Hudgins, VA 23076 (Mathews Co.) is the 2nd work location.
