- Job Duties:
- The role of the LINE/PREP COOKS is to ensure that the kitchen is ready for production every day and prepares all food. This includes prepping food for the pizza line as well as baking our bread, rolls, and preparing all pizza dough daily, all while ensuring our products are made consistently to our high standards. Other duties may include: Manages daily prep list and preps food in a quick and efficient manner. Responsible for the production of pizza dough, bread, pastries, and other items. Constantly maintains a clean work environment; cleans kitchen and dishes. Monitors product quantities and food freshness to ensure minimal waste. Performs daily duties such as opening, closing, cleaning and side work. Works on the line when needed, including pizza and grill stations. Provides direction and works well in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Skills and Qualifications: Team player, honest and dependable, strong critical thinking and time management skills, organized and detail-oriented, independent worker and a problem solver. Valued Experience/Education: Commercial kitchen experience. Baking experience. Work in a customer service business. Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, talk or hear. The employee must lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: This job operates in a kitchen environment. This role uses ovens, grills, knives, and mixers, among other restaurant equipment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to long periods of standing in a hot environment.
