Job Duties:

The role of the groundskeeping workers and landscapers is to ensure that the gardens and grounds are beautifully presented and maintained to ensure that visitors have a pleasant, safe, and enjoyable experience. Duties will include planting, pruning, weeding, clearing leaves, picking up litter and mowing grass. Other duties include but are not limited to removal of shrubs, installing trellis, vine pruning, harvesting, planting flowers, fertilizing, weed whacking, hedge trimming, driving tractor and other farm equipment, stone picking, wood splitting, wood cutting, trail clearing, painting, and more. Knowledge of plants, garden management and broad range of horticultural skills preferred. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and kneel for long periods of time. Must be a team player, self-motivated and flexible. Must be able to use gardening tools, leaf blower, snow blower, mowers, and other necessary landscaping/groundskeeping equipment. Other duties may include but are not limited to general maintenance around the property including chopping wood and filling woodfires in the bourbon building, packing spirits, spirit bottling, and miscellaneous grounds projects. Must be able to work in winter with below freezing temperatures to take part of snow removal.
