Job Duties:

A Pre-Scale Operator is responsible for measuring proper quantities of raw materials for use in the production of our cakes to the hundredth of a pound as well as ensuring the accuracy of each recipe. Place loose or packaged raw materials on scales, add or remove portions of the material to obtain the specified mixture; Build kits for Mixer; Read work order and/or recipe to determine type and quantity of materials to mix; Record number of materials used for production records and maintain surplus inventory of ingredients used regularly; Transfer mixed materials to warehouse by using our barcode inventory system (scanner). Enter product quantities and information into a central database to be used by CCF for tracking inventory movement from the time of receipt through usage; Sort mixed materials into designated bins or containers, according to type; Strictly adhere to allergen program and procedures; Accurately & legibly document all lot numbers for ingredients used; Responsible for always maintaining a clean & safe work area. Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements. Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment. Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods.
