- Job Duties:
- Full-time, temporary pipe layers needed for Tempest Enterprises, Inc. In Murray, UT. Work will be performed in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele, Utah, Morgan, Weber and Wasatch Counties. Must be age 18 or older and willing to work outdoors in extreme conditions; noisy, hot, dusty, cold, and wet. Duties configure pipe routes, align pipes in pipeline sections; Tell tractor driver where to move pipe in preparation for welding, insert spaces between pipes, pull out defective or misaligned pipes; correct alignments with sledgehammers, slide pipe into trenches, inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specs; grade trenches or culverts, seal joints, cover pipes with dirt or other materials; dig trenches with trenching tools, perform continual maintenance on pipes and replace those needing repair. Drug testing required.
