***RFI Response*** Elaborate on the specific tasks associated with 'production, preparation, and storage of company products' In summary, as part of the daily responsibilities for production, preparation and storage of company products, a Packager is responsible for ensuring that the correct packaging and containers are being used; for applying labels on product containers if missed on the automated line; verifying labels are on product containers and packages; putting finished product in boxes; moving or stacking product to be retrieved by Pallet Puller staff to take to distribution center for storage; assembling containers or cardboard boxes to be ready to place product in; sealing boxes containing product shut with tape; and bringing packaging materials or labels to the production line. Elaborate on the specific 'housekeeping' tasks the employee will be required to perform of 'the production and warehouse.' Additionally, we note that there is a typographical error in the job description regarding the statement: "Maintains housekeeping of the production and warehouse". The correct description is maintains general housekeeping of the Packagers production and warehouse area. The specific responsibilities include maintaining a clean and sanitary work area which may include removing debris from floor; discarding damaged containers or product; cleaning up product that may have spilled during the packaging process; and removing defective or damaged product or packages from the production line. Every employee, Packagers included, is required to maintain a clean and orderly workstation on the production line or in the warehouse. The position of Packager is a manual job requiring repetition of tasks such as repetitive hand, wrist, and finger activities and repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with items in excess of 35 lbs. ***Original F.a.2*** Assists with production, preparation, and storage of company products. Places boxed products on a pallet. Maintains housekeeping of the production and warehouse. Follows company's safety guidelines and good manufacturing practices. Refrigerated food manufacturing plant (environment may be wet, or dry, and temperatures may range from 25 to 110 Fahrenheit). Repetitive lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 35 pounds. Walking and standing for long periods of time. Overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling as required. No experience required. No education required. On the job training will be provided if needed.
