Job Duties:

This is an outside job and involves the preparation of the underground for placement of cable for distribution of services that will flow through the cables; the work is to be performed in all types of weather, requires good strength, is physical work, and the ability to work in a team is very necessary. The job requires stooping, bending, lifting (more than 25 lbs.) and the use of basic out-door tools and equipment; i.e. shovel, rake, hoe, pick, pick hammer, sledge hammer, hammer, and wheel barrow. These tools and equipment will be used to help break the ground, that may be dirt, sand, gravel or concrete, so that a trench may be constructed in order to place the cables in the opening; subsequently, the trench will need to be covered, so as to restore the ground to its original condition. All debris will need to be collected and taken to a location for disposition. A basic knowledge of the language Haitian Creole will be a plus for this position.
