Job Duties:

General Description of Position: Provides diagnostic, prescriptive and therapeutic services to students exhibiting language, speech, or hearing disorders. Provides appropriate language, speech and hearing assessments to referred students. Provides specialized instruction and services to students with language, speech and/or hearing disorders. Coordinates rehabilitative, therapeutic, or educational management for students with disorders of language, speech, and/or hearing. Provides consultative services to students, parents, teacher or other school personnel. Serves as a member of Student Study Team(s) and Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Prepares written reports of assessments administered. Assists in the development of IEPs for students with exceptional needs. Re-evaluates students at least annually to determine appropriateness of placement and to ascertain progress. Provides in-service training to parents and school employees in language, speech and hearing issues. Maintains a schedule which includes 80% direct instruction and/or collaboration and 20% student assessment, coordination of IEP and SST screenings. Performs other related duties as assigned.
