Job Duties:

Installation of ice (preparing the floor for flooding, sprinkle and flood as required, white wash and paint rings as required, install logos and advertising), day-to-day ice operations, maintaining a high standard of playing conditions for leagues, bonspiels, and special events (make every best effort to achieve 24 second speed of ice and 4 feet of curl towards and away from the center line); plan for seasonal shut down, support ice removal and the closing of the arena at the season’s end; instruct the club’s volunteer ice crew; maintain club, equipment and ice plant in conjunction with repairmen; report to and communicate with ice chair regarding ice quality, building and equipment

Special Requirements:

Minimum of a Level 1 Ice Technician Certification. Shifts: 10:00 am 11:00 am; 10:00 am 4:00 pm; 10:30 am 3:15 pm; 11:00 am 1:00 pm; 3:00 pm 7:00 pm; 3:00 pm 7:45 pm; 7:00 pm; 3:30pm 6:45 pm; 4:15 pm 4:45 pm; 6:30 pm 7:00 pm; 6:45 pm 7:15 pm; 7:45 pm 8:15 pm; 8:30 pm 9:00 pm; 9:45 pm 10:15 pm. Shift schedule start and end times and days off vary depending on company need.
