Job Duties:

Provide live-in caretaking duties for 15-year-old male who requires moderate to significant assistance in getting ready for school, feeding, toileting, and bathing. Additionally, provide general entertainment throughout the day. ● Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report to the head of household. ● Fully assist patient with daily hygiene, feeding and personal care, including: o dressing and grooming; o Toileting and private hygiene; o Dental hygiene. ● Moving into and out of beds, baths, and automobiles, and select transportation, and adjusting positioning and seating for comfort and safety; ● Entertain and converse with patient to keep him mentally healthy and alert. ● Plan, purchase, prepare, or serve meals to patient according to prescribed diets ( no sugars, bias for proteins and vegetables) ● Provide patient with emotional support and instruction in areas such as: o behavioral norms and understanding right and wrong responses to environmental conditions; o living independently or adapting to disability or illness. ● Direct patient in simple and moderately difficult, prescribed exercises or in the use of braces, orthotics, positioners and ambulatory and adoptive equipment. ● Massage patient musculoskeletal-skeletal system for retaining mobility and flexibility; ● There are minimal duties in maintaining household, but which are geared at the care of the patient (laundry, food,environment). The caretaker is not a general caretaker of other dependents or residents of the home. ● Provision for medication on timely and accurate basis

CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required. Experience with the following required: managed care and specialty care; delivering and providing medications; emergency response training for seizure; emotional and behavioral response care and management; use of in-home, ambulatory care equipment. Live-in position.
