Job Duties:

As a Pastry Chef, the temporary worker’s expected duties include: Working side by side by side with culinary staff in professional procedures and techniques to make high quality pastries in accordance with authentic and traditional French methods, Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread… following French traditional and modern recipes, Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers, Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings, etc, to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting, Implementing and utilizing quality standards for ingredients, taste, texture, and presentation for all pastries and desserts, Participating in and contributing to the development of pastries and desserts to compliment holiday menus, Creating and executing signature desserts and pastries specific to the summer season and the holiday season, Monitoring stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc, and make appropriate orders within budget, Checking quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking, Maintaining a lean and orderly cooking station and adhering to health and safety standards, Overseeing a team of junior cooks as necessary.
