Job Duties:

1. Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth. Removes old paint coating, if necessary. 2. Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint and ensure protection. 3. Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications. 4. Applying paint, stain, varnish, enamel etc. to property walls and ceilings. 5. Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them. 6. Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers. 7. Equipment preparation for industrial painting. 8. Obeying workplace safety rules. 9. Keeping the workspace and tools clean. 10. Assembling scaffolding as required 11. Completing minor repairs.

Special Requirements:

Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards. Good planning and organization skills. Attention to detail. Solid communication skills. Good balance and physical strength. Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers. Proficiency with painting tools and equipment a plus. Ability to safely operate various equipment as paint sprayer. Ability to stand for 8 hours.
