Job Duties:

Crewmen will be aboard 58’ commercial fishing vessel in the Pacific Northwest commercial harvesting Dungeness crab using nets and pots.. The crewman will need to move about the deck and pull crab pots, measure and sort crab by hand, re-bait and set the gear back. Will be lifting 110 pound crab pots repeatedly while fishing, about 500 times per day. If necessary, performing repairs and maintenance duties. Will also clean alongside the rest of the crew to clean vessel and equipment. Long days and night shifts are required during this 4 month crab season. The crew will board the vessel at the beginning start date of work in Brookings, Oregon – Curry County. That is where the boat is located and that is the job location. Crew will leave harbor on the boat and after the crab fishing is finished (4 months time) will return to the place of employment to get off of the vessel. There is zero alcohol and drug tolerance, and Crewmen must pass a drug test that may be conducted randomly.
