The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Perform manual labor in forest to gather and bale pine needles. Hand tools, such as rakes, pitchforks, machetes, brush cutters, etc will be used for work. Cleaning/clearing of pine needle fields may be necessary before being raking. Work will also include Raking pine needles, baling pine needles, tying bales, loading and unloading of bales. Worker must be able to lift and carry 80lbs throughout the work day. Work may also include occasional routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment.

Minimum production standard of 10 bales correctly raked, tied and loaded per hour required for job retention after one week of training.
