- Job Duties:
- Philipps Trucking is involved in hauling construction materials and debris including but not limited to rock, dirt, sand, demolition materials, hot mix, tree, and construction debris to and from construction sites and/or landfill and/or quarry. Workers will be needed to check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, follow appropriate safety procedures, and inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure and within weight limits. Maintain logs of working hours following applicable state and federal regulations, complete documents verifying product hauled, pre and post trip truck inspection reports and verify all product has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site, maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions—secure cargo for transport using ropes, chains, blocks, binders, or covers. Workers will drive trucks with capacities greater than 260000 LBS, including truck-trailer combinations. Ensure truck is clean, tidy and operable. Not responsible for inspecting product hauled. - Workers will be required to have a valid issued Commercial Drivers License or obtain such License within 60 days of hire. Must pass Department of Transportation Medical Exams Workers must lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds and must be able to sit for long periods of time.
