Job Duties:

Inspect inbound scrap metal to ensure highest quality. Sort and process materials according to their metal components. Use a variety of hand tools and machines such as forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws and pressure washers. Dismantle components of products such as appliances. Be able to inspect, determine, and safely remove nonconforming items from shredder conveyor to meet consumer specifications (primarily nonferrous metal and/or debris). Clean recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up broken glass and loose paper debris, or moving barrels and bins. Clean, inspect, or lubricate recyclable collection equipment or perform routine maintenance or minor repairs on recycling equipment, such as star gears, finger sorters, destoners, belts, and grinders.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run. Saturday work required, when necessary.
