Job Duties:
The primary responsibility of an Aerial Lineman is to build and repair aerial and underground telecommunication transmission lines, including pacing and pulling biber and coax cable. An Aerial Lineman's work intercedes into several divisions of the company and as such, he/she will work alongside and assist those other divisions. This may be helping an underground cre pull coax through an existing duct package or helping the FIber Division during a night cut. Because of various federal Communication Commission (FCC) regulations and the sensitivity of the technology involved, absolute attention to detail and quality cannot be stressed enough. Must be able to frequently move objects weighing in excess of 80lbs for distances greater than fifty feet; Standing/walking for majority of work day with frequent stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, twisting, sitting, lifting, carrying, kneeling, reaching, handling, talking, listening, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, grasping, pinching, feeling (tactile, heat, cold, texture), near and far vision depth perceptions, color perception and field vision. Exposure to extreme temperatures.
