- Job Duties:
- Take up manual labor tasks and support operations in worksites. Collect trash, debris, and other waste to keep the site clean and safe. Clean up worksites from obsolete material. Clean up worksites from debris & unused material, load truck back up (e.g., shovels, rakes, pick axe, etc.). Assist tradespeople on-site, general laborers take up dangerous tasks. Handle and transport materials at job site & nursery (e.g., topsoil, mulch, Bio-Char) but will not operate power equipment or machinery. Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g., hand digging holes for trees, drainage, carrying bag of fertilizer). Put up warning signs (e.g., signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby. Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding, screening fence). Assist supervisor and crew with maintaining a clean, safe working environment at all times. Gathering materials and supplies used on the job site is especially an important task when working around heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, trucks & trailers, etc. Although the position will not operate the heavy equipment, it is important to collect any trash, debris, and other waste to keep the site clean and safe for the entire crew and job site.
