Job Duties:
Set up, operate, and tend to metal cutting machines to produce high quality parts for our customers in automotive parts manufacturing plant. Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of production materials. Monitor banks of machines, including checking and gauging parts to ensure metal cutting machines are running to specifications. Adjust machines, tooling, and wheels to keep parts within allowable tolerances. Assist in maintenance and changeover of machinery. Change worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and grinding wheels. Keep work area clean and free of hazards. Complete paperwork and check gauges after changeovers to approve machines to run. Complete Statistical Process Control charts as required. Read process sheets to determine proper dimensions and gauge to use. Gauge equipment including calipers, micrometers and dial indicators. Follow safety policies and procedures in the performance of listed daily functions. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions. Operate fork trucks. Inspect work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation. Will train. Perform other incidental and related duties as assigned. All tools, supplies, and equipment will be available to perform duties without charge or deposit. Reports to work daily at company address in Kearney, Nebraska.
