Job Duties:

Under direction and supervision of the tile settler foreman, the tile setter helper will assist with the application of hard tile, stone, and comparable materials on swimming pools by performing duties requiring less skill. The tile setter helper will use hand and power tools such as trowels, grout floats, brushes, screeds, levels, and tile spacers. The tile setter helper will assist to shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners. The tile setter helper will assist to mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tiles, using brush, trowel and screed. The tile setter helper will assist to apply mortar to back of tile, position the tile, and press or tap with trowel to affix tile to base. The tile setter helper will wipe excess grout from between tiles and apply sealer to make grout stain and water resistant. The tile setter helper will carry tile and stone material, and all tools to the jobsite, and clean up jobsites as needed.

Anticipated days and hours of work per week: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday, and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for 75 yards.
