Job Duties:

Duties may include: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, aerating, weeding, raking, and removing thatch, leaves, litter, and debris. Follow planned landscaping designs for installation of trees, shrubs, foliage, sod, flowers and irrigation systems. Haul or spread topsoil. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, foliage and deadhead flowers. Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto trees, shrubs, foliage or lawns using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Water lawns, trees, or plants, using hoses and portable sprinkler systems. Maintain residential and commercial irrigation systems. Provide proper upkeep to planters, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes or pruning shears and pruning saws. May operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as work trucks with small utility trailers, mowers, trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, and electric clippers & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 due to insurance. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 30lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
