Job Duties:

Responsible for explaining and demonstrating technical ski concepts using a variety of teaching methods, based off age, learning style, and ability of the students, setting lesson plans based on guest needs, upholding guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude climate with varying winter weather conditions and ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level, assisting guests with transportation of equipment and assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift. Seasonal preparation work includes cleaning and organization of all staff areas, uniforms, and supplies, answering phones and assisting with all office responsibilities, working with Mountain Sports Training Manager to develop meaningful clinics that reflect areas of expertise, and, periodically, assisting in racecourse set-up and tear-down, assisting in cleaning of locker room area and set up/take down and maintaining functionality and cleanliness of areas.

Special Requirements:

PSIA/AASI Level III Certification or Equivalent. Speak, read, and write English. Work outside in all weather conditions. Physically capable of teaching 7 hours per day. Frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Pre-employment background check required. Shifts available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Example shifts: 7:45am - 2:45pm, or 9:30am -4:30pm. Shift hours may vary. Hourly Wage: $18.61 - $52.00 (Gratuity-eligible position, so actual wage with tips may occasionally be higher) Overtime Possible Per Hour at $27.92 - $76.50 Employee may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of a Loyalty and Service Bonus of up to 5% of the employees gross earnings upon completion of the employees winter work agreement and/or discretionary incentive bonuses based on business and staffing.
