Job Duties:

Summary: The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for ensuring the guest rooms and public areas are completely serviced at hotel standards for future guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Guest Room Area Cleaning Duties • Services guest rooms in 26 minutes or less according to the hotel standards • Cleans floors, walls, and all other surfaces using specified chemicals and equipment and specified • Washes linens, makes beds and re arranges furniture; daily. • Operates the vacuum in all guest rooms that are cleaned • Dusts and cleans all furniture and fixtures • Records room status on daily room attendant sheet • Ensures guest supplies are maintained • Empties and cleans all garbage cans • Cleans and maintains all equipment and products • Report any items in need of repair or replacement to the Head Housekeeper. • Cleans and inspects public spaces daily • Changes and washes linens on a daily basis to ensure guest satisfaction. • Maintains an accurate inventory of linen, terry, room supplies, and cleaning supplies • Effectively communicates the status of rooms to the front desk staff • Ensures carts are clean, organized, and restocked for the next day • Completes laundry shifts as needed Public Area Cleaning Duties • Cleans the lobby and pool restrooms. • Re-stocks restrooms with supplies as needed. • Empties all trash in offices, front desk area, entrances, pool, and outside urns. • Picks up all trash and discarded cigarettes from the parking lot and sidewalks. • Ensures the dumpster area is clean and doors are kept closed. • Mops all public area tile and hard surfaces. • Cleans and stocks business center with necessary office supplies. • Vacuums the hallways after 10:00 am. • Performs all other duties as may be assigned. • Cleans the pool area and all pool furniture including, windowsills, towel hamper and sweeping and mopping. • Cleans the vending area by dusting, wiping down machines, and vacuuming the floor. • Checks to ensure there are enough pool towels available for guests prior to leaving for the day. • Performs all other duties as may be assigned Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the individual is constantly moving about cleaning rooms. They frequently position themselves inside tight and cramped spaces to clean toilets, showers, and under beds; around nightstands, furniture and tables. They must be able to exchange accurate information with guests and staff while working. The individual must regularly move items weighing up to 50 pounds Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the individual generally works in a controlled climate; is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Due to exposure and for safety, individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment.
