Job Duties:

Duties may include: Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites while following established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Provide assistance to craft workers. Review plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities, and acquire the proper tools and materials. Measure and mark cutting lines before shaping or cutting materials. Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props. Dig post holes and set poles to support structures. Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place. Install and finish structures or fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, paneling, trim, shingles, or other hardware. Examine structural timbers and supports to detect damage or decay, and remove, repair, or replace damaged or defective parts or sections of structures. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, braces, traffic barricades, or other temporary structures. Use tools such as hand or power tools, ladders, saws, or dirt packers & other related Carpenter Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 47-2031 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 due to state labor laws. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
