Job Duties:

Duties may include: Inspect trees to determine if they have diseases or pest problems. Climb trees, using climbing hooks and belts, or climb ladders to gain access to work areas. Trim and cut away dead and/or excess branches from trees. Clear branches around power lines using climbing equipment, buckets of extended truck booms, chainsaws, hooks, handsaws, shears, and clippers. Spray and treat diseased or unhealthy trees, including mixing chemicals and calibrating spray equipment. Operate boom trucks, loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, tractors, power saws, trucks, sprayers, and other equipment and tools. Clear sites, streets, and grounds of debris such as tree stumps and fallen trees and limbs. Operate shredding and chipping equipment, and feed limbs and brush into the machines & other related Tree Trimmer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3013 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).

Special Requirements:

Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
